Rami Lappalainen (born 1975) , is a professional photographer based in Helsinki, Finland. Rami started his photographic career in 1998 while working and assisting established advertising and fashion photographers in Helsinki. The years in 1999–2000 he studied photography in Stockholm, Sweden.During the following years Rami has been creating images for editorial and advertising use both in Finland and internationally. The confidence gained in action sports photography in early 2000 took Rami to explore his talent especially in portrait photography. Many anxious and maybe even nervous people have felt themselves relaxed in the front of Rami´s lens. His special talent lies just in these delicate moments what the photography really is all about!
Rami does not like to set any boundaries for his work. Every subject is equally important for him ”even if it´s a simple picture of a flower you can always work the idea in many ways and what´s best possibly in a new and interesting way!
Many customer relations prove that working with Rami is straight forward: ”just point me a subject and I will execute it. I like to keep it simple which leads to creativity”, he says.
